Wang-Xia earned her Ph.D. in Plant Biotechnology and Biochemistry from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel, under the mentorship of Prof. Arie Altman and Prof. Oded Shoseyov. She completed her first postdoctoral training in NF\u03baB signaling in the lab of Prof. David Wallach at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel. Wang-Xia then pursued further postdoctoral training in microRNA biology with Dr. Peter Nelson and Dr. Guiliang Tang at the University of Kentucky. Her research has since focused on the role of microRNAs in neurodegenerative diseases and neurotrauma, contributing to numerous high-impact publications in microRNA neurobiology. Wang-Xia also devotes a significant effort on developing microRNAs as biomarkers for Alzheimer\u2019s disease and for the complications following aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage. Driven by a deep passion for science and technology, Wang-Xia is dedicated to understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying brain disorders, and to advancing the search for effective treatments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
